The BPA’s largest event is the annual World Boardgaming Championships® (WBC) where 1,485 people from around the world gathered in 2025 to compete to be named champion of their favorite boardgames. Attendance at WBC 2025 14 countries, including 44 US States and 3 Canadian Provinces. BPA Memberships for 2025 has representatives from 21 countries, 45 US States, and 5 Canadian Provinces.
Competitions were scheduled in 159 at WBC 2025 consisting of the Century, Legacy, Trial, and Sponsored events. In addition, you will find open gaming, Juniors events, demonstrations, seminars, an auction, an auction store, vendors, and exhibitors. BPA Memberships for 2026 open in early December 2025. Join then to obtain the lowest prices for 2026, vote for the Trial events that will be held at WBC 2026, and vote for the 2025 Sportsman of the Year. All Memberships, except for Associate, include admission to WBC 2026. The trial vote allows members to vote on the 25 Trial Events that will be held at WBC 2025. To become a member, complete the Membership Application available in December, which includes the Trial Ballot for WBC 2026 and 2026 Sportsmanship Vote, and submit the form along with payment. Memberships that include the Trial and Sportsmanship ballots are available through January 31, 2026. After our initial membership drive which ends on January 31, 2025, prices will increase on February 1, April 1, and June 15. After June 15, admission to the WBC must be purchased on-site at the convention.
The 2025 Century/Legacy and the Sponsor/Vendor/Exhibitor Event Forms are posted on the Event Form page. Forms are subject to change prior to Submissions opening when the Membership opens in Early December. Submission of both the Event Form and Preview (preferably in Word) for WBC 2026 Century Group Events are due between the start of the membership drive in Early December 2025 and January 31, 2026. You must be a BPA member for 2026 to submit an event form for the Century Group events.
WBC 2026 will run from July 25 to August 2, 2026.
