Railways of the World (Railroad Tycoon in the original printing) will use any of the boards published by Eagle Games (Eastern US, Western US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, England, and Railways through Time). The default map will be the Railways of the World edition using the Eastern US map.
The preferred number of players in each game is 4, but games can accommodate 3 to 6 players, depending on the map used.
The number of semifinalists will be limited to no more than half the total of preliminary round entrants.
