Calling all Empire of the Sun players! Experienced or new, and everyone in between! The South Pacific Scenario, introduced in C3i #30 for Empire of the Sun, has made the base game much easier to learn. The scenario plays on a small section of the main map with a pair of reduced decks and much of the chrome removed. This allows a new player to focus on the main mechanics of play. Furthermore, the rules are taken directly from the main rulebook and the cards used are all exact copies from the base game decks. This means, once you learn the South Pacific scenario, you will know the mechanics of how to play the base game.>/p>

This will be a Single Elimination tourney with a Mulligan Round. The Mulligan round and Round 1 will run with the South Pacific: Breaking the Bismark Barrier Scenario from C3i #30. One win will be required to advance to the Semi-Final Elimination rounds and wins & scoring will determine seeding for the first. The elimination rounds and the Final round will be run with the 1943 Scenario.

The Demo will take place right before the Mulligan Round. I would encourage all newer players to attend the demo to get a run down on mechanics and basic strategy before diving into the South Pacific Scenario.

Details on bidding, scoring, tournament format, rules and more can be found at the EotS-WBC tournament website. (

Additional Prizes will include 3 copies of C3i #30 to be given away during the Mulligan Round and Rounds 1 & 2.
