On the night before the Tournament, there will be a one-hour long Demo in the Demo area, imediately followed by a one-half hour practice game in the open gaming area.
The first round of the Tournament will consist of four, two-hour long games, using three different scenarios and it will run from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. Every player may play up to four games, win or lose. Please bring the British base game and the Russian expansion, if possible.
Four players will advance to a single game Semifinal and two players will then advance to a single game Final.
If two or more players are tied at the end of the Swiss rounds, there may be a one-hour tiebreaker to determine who plays in the Semifinals. The Semifinals and the Finals will use scenarios from the either the Spanish, Austrian, Prussian or Generals, Marshalls and Tacticians (GMT) Expansions. (These Expansions will be provided by the Game Master.) A final decision on the scenarios to be played will be made by June 1. To keep play moving, we will be using clocks which will provide each player will a total playing time of 45 minute per player, per game. To balance the scenarios, we will use bidding. Instead of bidding for banners as was done in past, bidding will instead be for additional Command Cards, since this adds additional flexibility.
In addition to Tournament play, an optional Epic Game, with 3 or 4 players per side, will be made available during the Convention.
