A quick second chance ...
It's the summer of 1985 and Soviet tanks stream into West
Germany. Thinly spread NATO forces strive to delay the red hordes
until reinforcements arrive, and the world watches anxiously.
A platoon level simulation that stresses command, control,
and war's unpredictable nature, World At War is an engaging,
tactical action game.
The rules cover self-propelled mortars, thin-skinned vehicles,
support weapons, ranged combat, opportunity fire, ATGM depletion,
assault and overrun combat.
LnL's World at War series includes both the games Eisenbach
Gap, Death of First Panzer and Blood & Bridges for
an engaging, fast paced portrayal of modern armored
combat. The tournament will include scenarios from all
three games.
The format for its debut as a competitive tournament at WBC
allows a minimum of two games for those so inclined. Wargames
that can be played to conclusion in under two hours are rare
birds and this one allows you two bites at the apple. Play the
Mulligan Round to gain familiarity and win or lose you're still
good to go for Round 1 on Saturday morning. But win, and you
can sleep in and join the tussle at 11 AM for Round 2.
