You have decided to be a part of the growing European railroad boom. All over the continent rails are needed to connect disparate regions for business and recreation. As your lines cover more ground it is likely that they be coveted by the very governments you have chosen to support. Eventually they will nationalize your work. Victory will come to those most able to merge the private and public demands.
You may be the mogul that creates the Orient Express but eventually all of your hard work will become property of the people.
All winners (up to a maximum of 16 or half the field) will advance to fill four 4-player semifinal games depending on the number of qualifiers present. Only enough alternates to fill the last partially manned table will be accepted.
Example: Assuming a field of 32 or more, up to 16 winners may advance. However, if there are only 15 winners present, the semifinals will consist of four-4 player games manned by the 15 winners and one alternate. If only 11 winners are present, the semifinals will consist of three 4-player games with one Alternate. The best semifinal runner-up based on % of the winner’s score will also advance to crew a final table of four. Standard MESE tiebreakers apply when determining Alternates.
