Returning for its second year, 7 Wonders: Duel is a fast-paced, devilishly cutthroat 2-player version of the popular multiplayer game.

Taking place over three rounds ("ages"), cards are laid out, Mahjong style, in each age, with some face up and some face down. Players must select cards to develop military and scientific advancements while building their economy and constructing wonders. Every card forces you to choose between resources you need and those you wish to deny your opponent. With three paths to victory - military, science, and economic - there are a variety of strategies and no two games are the same.

Please attend the demo session or contact the GM if you need to learn the game or if you have a rules question.

Please bring a copy of the game if you have one! Anyone who brings a copy is guaranteed a spot in the tournament. Many were turned away last year for lack of games.

The tournament will be in a Swiss-Elimination format as follows (keeping in mind the number of participants may be limited by available copies of the game):

Each player may play up to four rounds in a Swiss-style bracket (players will constantly be grouped against opponents of similar records). At the conclusion of the Swiss rounds, the top eight* players will advance to quarterfinals with single elimination continuing until there is a sole winner.

Ties in the Swiss rounds will be broken by:

1. Number of wins through science or military
2. Total score in games without a science/military win
3. Number of wins through military
4. Highest score in an individual game
5. Head to head record
6. Highest Die roll

* If there are fewer than 16 players, the top four will advance directly to the semifinals

If there are an odd number of players for any of the Swiss rounds, or if a player does not show for an elimination round, the GM or AGM will play as an eliminator.

Note: The Pantheon expansion will NOT be used for the tournament. No promo cards not contained in the base set may be used.
