BPA thanks its members for participating in our Annual Membership Drive and the voting process which qualified this year's Continuing Trial events. The top 25 events are now eligible for inclusion in WBC 2011 upon receipt of a suitable event form by Feb. 28 from a current BPA member willing to serve as the GM. Events for which no such GM is forthcoming by Feb 28 will be replaced by BPA from those events on the Alternate list with a GM Commitment on record. Vendors and sponsors may also select new events or add those from the Alternate list. To be added to the Alternate list, an event must have an event form submitted to BPA by a willing GM who is a current member.
Battleline once again managed a landslide victory. In addition, A House Divided made good it's return for at least a two-year engagement after its six-year absence. No other golden oldie returned but Kingmaker just staved off elimination in the 25th slot to return for its 21st year. Not so fortunate were Goa and Tikal which fell just barely below the survival line and are now in danger of ending their 7- and 11-year runs at WBC. Other veteran events falling below the cut line include War of 1812 (12 years), Win, Place & Show (19 years), Republic of Rome (20 years) and Tyranno Ex (17 years). Doubtless some of these will be saved by sponsors or used as replacements for qualifying events without GM commitments. GMT was the big winner ... advancing all nine events it had on the ballot; three new and six returnees. Write-in votes were not recorded—both because they had no chance to win and no GM had stepped forward to qualify those events for the ballot. View the current WBC 2011 lineup on the Orphans Page, which will be updated weekly between now and March when GM submissions end.
