The Annual Survey of the membership admitted two new events (Combat Commander and Crusader Rex) while welcoming back 22 returning favorites in the New and Continuing Trials category in the heaviest voting yet recorded in the annual December membership drive. Also rejoining the menu for 2007 was a veteran event from yesteryear as Across Five Aprils made its return after a three -year absence. 16 events from 2006 failed to make the cut including a trio of events with long standing histories (Wrasslin', Fortress Europa, Tyranno Ex). Some of those events falling short may yet return via Vendor/Sponsor support, or the failure of qualifying events to generate the necessary GM commitment by Feb. 28. The power of the ballot was absolute wih the 59 listed events claiming the top 59 places. Only nine games received feeble write-in support in contrast to105 last year. Without a committed GM puting a game on the ballot, its chances seem bleak indeed. Overall, voting was up as the ballot did its work by concentrating support in a reduced field. The bar was raised with the number of votes needed to make the cut increasing by 31% over 2006 totals.

Memberships also increased 20% over 2006 totals which themselves had set a record for the annual December membership drive. Whether this portends a record attendance this summer or merely more crediblity with the voting process and benefits of early membership commitment is open to debate.
