The Annual Survey of the membership admitted five new events (Wellington, Here I Stand, Commands & Colors: Ancients, Caylus, and Street Soccer) while welcoming back 20 returning favorites in the New and Continuing Trials category. It was the heaviest voting yet recorded in the December membership drive, with 100 votes insufficient to make the cutoff. On the ballot, 48 eligible events were listed. Not surprisingly they, claimed the top 48 places. Write-in support went to 107 games, but all trailed the pack, proving—yet again—that the chances of a write-in vote succeeding are slim and none. Without a committed GM to get a game on the ballot, its chances are bleak.

Failing to make the cut were 15 events from 2005, including Guerilla, Greed and Wizard’s Quest, which ended 12-, 11- and 9-year runs respectively. Some of those events falling short may yet return via Vendor/Sponsor support or the failure of qualifying events to generate the necessary GM commitment by Feb. 28.
