Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage (HRC) PBeM Event Reports Updated August 22, 2021

2021 PBeM Tournament

48 players vied for the championship in Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage and played 95 games in a double elimination format. Derek Landel went undefeated in the tournament with a perfect 6-0 record.

The laurelists, in order were Derek Landel, Scott Burns, Chris Trimmer, Henry Rice, Dan Sirbu, and Michael Mitchell

In the final game, Hannibal made his way to Southern Italy but then proceeded to lose a few battles leaving him vulnerable with very few troops. He was finished off in Rhegium by Nero on turn 3. Carthage soldiered on until turn 9 when with the Province count 10-8 in Rome's favor conceded.

Overall Carthage won 47 games, Rome 44, with 4 games conceded without side assignments.

2014 PBeM Tournament

The Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage PBEM 2014-15 Tournament has concluded.39 players played 64 games with the final came between James Pei's Romans against Derek Landel's Carthaginians. Carthage had good cards early but an intercepted messenger on turn 4 and several crucial Roman victories in Africa led Hannibal to attempt a desperate siege of Rome, but without the aid of the SIege Train, Hannibal's mercenaries wavered in front of the Eternal city and the Romans prevailed giving James Pei his 2nd PBEM CDG title this year, showing the master's mastery. Other laurelists, in order, were Geoff Allbert, Sean McCulloch, Bill Edwards, and Michael Ussery.

2001 PBeM Tournament

Aaron Fuegi defeated Peter Reese to capture the First BPA PBeM tournament for Hannibal. Other laurelists, in order, were James Pei, John Firer, and Trevor Bender.
